Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaisery has vowed that Kenya will
not bow to Al Shabaab threats even after killing 147 students at Garisa
University on Thursday.
Speaking yesterday, Nkaisery told Al Shabaab
that the war on terror had just started and that they will lose in the end
because Kenya is not just about to give up any time soon.
“The Kenyan Government will not be
intimidated by terrorists who have made killing innocent people a way to
humiliate the Government,” Nkaissery told reporters.
“The Government is determined to fight
back and I am confident we shall win this war against our enemies,” he added.
This comes even as the Al Shabaab have
made it crystal clear that they will not stop killing Kenyans unless and until
President Uhuru Kenyatta withdraws the Kenya Defence Forces from Somalia.
The Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab have
warned of more terror attacks targeting learning institutions in Kenya to teach
Uhuru and his Jubilee Government a lesson.
