Renowned city lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdulahi, has told Kenyans not to blame
Al Shabaab for the Garissa University attack and instead blame local militia
and political leaders in North Eastern Kenya.
In an Interview with one of the local
dailies on Tuesday, Ahmednasir, who is the owner and founder of Nairobi
Law monthly, maintained that the attack was the work of criminal networks
operating in the County and known to local politicians.
“My view is that what we saw in
Garissa was a surgical strike requiring a lot of precision. Such a strike
requires a lot of mapping of the target, stock piling of weapons and a clear
knowledge of the university. My take is that this was a local enterprise, even
the mastermind was a local,” Ahmednasir said
He also revealed that the chief
mastermind of the Garissa terror attack, Muhamed Kuno, was related to a
security guard at the University, who was also killed during the attack.
“Evidence emerged that an employee of
Garissa University is related to the mastermind of the attack (Mohamed) Kuno
helped the attackers in surveying (the area) for a week,” the lawyer posted.
