Kenya’s
power vocalist Atemi and Tanzanian songbird: Lady Jaydee release MOYO –
a bonafide East African love song. This is Atemi’s first song
collaboration with another lady. She says, “We really hit it off! I
respect Lady Jaydee very much; she’s a talented artist and an easy to
work with African singer. She really put her all into the song.”
MOYO is
a song about different love situations. No matter how tempestuous,
passionate or romantic love is in all the scenarios in the song; love is
love. Written by Atemi Oyungu, MOYO is Atemi’s debut single from her
upcoming third album. The song has been produced by renown Kenyan
producer R-Kay, also producer of Atemi’s USIJALI featuring Delvin Savara
of Sauti Sol. Atemi says of the zouk-esque MOYO, “This is a sound that I
have been trying out and like very much. But fear not my neo soul fans –
there will also still be a touch of soul on the upcoming album!”
