A few days ago, leaders across the world converged in
Nigeria to witness the swearing in of
President Muhammad Buhari held at Abuja’s
Eagle Square.
Among the powerful African leaders
invited included Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, who is a well known
dictator.
However, the no-nonsense Zimbabwean
President ended up being humiliated by Nigerian journalists and he will forever
curse that day.
This is after the daring journalists
got violent when he refused to answer
their questions upon arrival at the inauguration ceremony.
Some of the journalists who work for
Nigeria’s Sahara TV over-powered
Mugabe’s bodyguards and started mocking him.
In a video clip that has surfaced
online, the said journalists are heard telling Mugabe to retire so that
Zimbabweans can experience real change.
“When you will retire, Zimbabweans want change. You can’t be in power forever.” One of the journalists was over-heard telling Mubage
straight to his face.
