United Democratic Forum party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, on Sunday denied
media reports that he turned down an offer to join the Government as a Cabinet
Secretary.
In a story carried by this last
weekend’s Sunday Nation, Mudavadi
allegedly refused a cabinet slot after President Uhuru Kenyatta promised
him one.
He said he supported the appointment
of Eugene Wamalwa as Water and Irrigation Minister saying President Uhuru
Kenyatta has shown that all that he wants is an inclusive government.
“I don’t know where the reports are
coming from. My push has been for an all-inclusive government to promote
national cohesion. This has finally been realised and it is commendable,” said
Mudavadi who was speaking at his rural home in Sabatia.
Meanwhile, Budalang'i MP, Ababu
Namwamba, has congratulated the President for appointing Eugene Wamalwa as
Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary.
