Dirk Kuyt has called on his compatriot Memphis Depay, to reject
Manchester United and sign for Liverpool instead.
The PSV Eindhoven star has been
heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
However, Liverpool are reportedly
keen to hijack the 20-year old winger’s move to Old Trafford after his
representatives met with officials from Anfield.
Apparently, Ex-Reds attacker Dirk
Kuyt is trying to convince the youngster that Liverpool was the right
destination for him.
Kuyt told De Telegraaf:
"I look through red glasses, because I've played six years for Liverpool.
"Only when Memphis does that, he
will realize how big Liverpool are.
"Of course it would be an
advantage at Manchester United because he knows the manager. On the other hand
it is important at his age that he plays every week. That's the only way he can
develop."
