Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of signing midfielder
Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.
The German international, who was
also linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, has 12 months remaining in
his current deal with the Bundesliga side.
The BVB are expected to cash in on
the 24-year old in the summer to avoid him leaving on a free next year and Old
Trafford appears to be his likely destination.
However, Gundogan has a history with
injuries having missed much of last season with a back problem.
And Liverpool Legend, Jamie
Carragher, believes United are gambling on his fitness calling him a ‘crock' in
twitter banter with Manchester United icon Gary Neville.
