Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is confident
Edinson Cavani will stay in the French capital next season amid
speculation linking him with Premier League giants, Manchester United.
The Uruguay hit-man is thought
to be unsettled at the French Capital as he has been forced to play out wide by
manager Laurent Blanc who fancies Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a central striker.
The 27-year old has been linked with
a host of clubs across Europe with Manchester United reportedly leading the
race for his signature.
However, Al-Khelaifi has insisted
Cavani is not for sale.
He told reporters: "Edinson
Cavani is a player I like a lot.
"I can tell you that he is
very much fine with us, and the question of his departure does not arise.
"Paris loves him and he loves
Paris."
Meanwhile, Al-Khelaifi reiterated
that Man Utd winger Angel di Maria could’ve been a PSG player if the Financial
Fair Play rules didn't exist.
He added: "You can imagine that
if FFP did not exist, Di Maria would be a PSG player right now."
