SHOCK: UHURUTO’s Govt says only 7 people were killed by bandits - Red Cross are liars

The Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, has capped the death toll in the recent banditry attack in Baringo to a paltry 7.

This was revealed by Kenya Red Cross officials who said that the Government had exerted pressure on them to scale down the death toll from over 100 to only 7.

This comes even as intelligence on the ground indicated more than 100 people were killed by the bandits during the attack and retaliatory attacks on Tuesday between Turkana and Pokot communities.

Speaking yesterday, KRC officials revealed how Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government threatened them with deaths if they didn’t denounce their earlier report and announce that only seven people were killed down from over 100 reported deaths.

“The Government is not interested in giving the facts as they are. They have told us to say that only 7 people died whereas over 100 people were killed and bodies are everywhere as proof,” said one KRC official.

“They forced us to reduce the figure to somewhere around seven causalities but we stood our ground,” he added.

The Jubilee Government is keen on averting a public backlash over rising insecurity in the country and would do anything, including falsifying figures of the dead, to achieve that objective.
