JULIE GICHURU and UHURU’s wife among 3 lucky women who will shake OBAMA’s hand

Citizen TV presenter, Julie Gichuru, is among senior Kenyan journalists who will interview US President, Barrack Obama, when he jets in on July 25th.

Julie Gichuru has been shortlisted together with KTN's senior reporter, Joe Ageyo, and NTV’s senior manager, Linus Kaikai.

A source at the US Embassy in Nairobi said Julie Gichuru, who is known for her programme African Leadership Dialogues has a lot of experience and she has been selected as the host of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi.

US President Barrack will come to Nairobi to attend the Global Summit. He was invited to the summit by His Excellency President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.

The other two women who will have an audience with Obama is Obama’s grandmother, Mama Sarah Obama, and First Lady, Mama Margaret Kenyatta.

Obama’s visit to Kenya comes at a time Kenyans are still grappling with the deaths of 148 students at Garissa University College. The students were killed by Al Shabaab terrorists two weeks ago.
