The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) fighter jets bombed and destroyed two Al
Shabaab camps in Somalia killing several militants.
This was in retaliation for the Garissa
attack last Thursday where terrorists stormed Garissa University and killed 148
students in cold blood.
According to sources with prior
knowledge to the operation, the jets pounded Al Shabaab camps in Gondodowe
and Ismail, both in Gedo region bordering Kenya.
Although it was difficult to establish
how much damage the KDF jets had caused or the number of deaths of Al Shabaab
terrorists due to cloud cover, the Kenyan troops were certain that the
militants had suffered heavy casualties.
KDF Spokesman, David Obonyo, confirmed
the attacks but declined to give more details of the casualties and promised to
do so as and when he gets them.
However, he said they targeted the two
camps in Somalia because they were Al Shabaab hideouts.
“We targeted the two areas because
according to information we have, those (Al Shabaab) fellows are coming from
there to attack Kenya,” he said.
It is our wish that the Somalia
bastards die in their hundreds if not thousands from KDF strikes for Kenyans to
be safe
